Characteristics of mining industry wastewater treatment
Mining industry wastewater has groundwater characteristics, and it is polluted by human beings. It includes underground seepage in the process of coal mining, the natural underground water discharged for safe production and coal dust mine water produced by sprinkling water and dust, firefighting, grouting, firefighting and hydraulic equipment in underground coal mining production process.
Mining industry wastewater contains suspended particles (SS), which is mainly composed of coal powder and rock powder, and its content is relatively unstable. At one mine area, the contaminate concentration differs not only in various mine wells, but also the same mine well at different periods. It shows a relatively high CODcr because when it flows through the coal mining face and roadway, it is artificially affected, and some organic matter is incorporated into the water. The main component of suspended solids in mining wastewater is pulverized coal, which can be oxidized by strong oxidants such as potassium dichromate. In addition, due to pollution from coal, waste engine oil, emulsified oil, etc., mining wastewater discharge also contains a certain amount of oil.

Mining industry wastewater treatment process
The treatment process of mining industry wastewater adopts the method of flocculation and clarifiers to reduce the COD in the wastewater while the SS is removed, so that the effluent can reach the discharge standard. The method has the advantages of simple process, convenient use, small occupied area, good settlement effect, and the processing speed can be greatly improved through continuous processing without interruption, the simplified processing equipment can save a lot of cost, and the maintenance cost of the equipment can be reduced.
Mining industry wastewater system includes an EQ tank, a flocculation tank and clarifiers, and the EQ tank is connected to the flocculation tank and clarifiers in turn. A dosing pump and a mixing agitator are arranged in the flocculation tank. The dosing pump is used for adding a flocculating agent to the mining industry wastewater, and the mixing agitator is used for uniformly stirring the flocculating agent to maximize the coagulation and sedimentation effect of the flocculating agent. A sludge pump is also arranged in the clarifiers for transporting the sludge settled in the clarifiers and discharging it to the sludge treatment system for treatment.
